You Go, I Go is a classic list-making game will not only test the depth of your students’ knowledge in particular subjects but also adds a level of randomness by allowing a dice to choose how many answers you must produce in any given round. This classic bus game is even better on the stage! Here’s how to play:
After the category is revealed, player one rolls the dice. Player two must name as many answers in that category as the dice indicates.
After player two names all the required answers, they roll the dice to determine how many answers player 1 must name within the same category. (Hence, You Go, then I Go)
Students must complete all their answers within 15 seconds. When a student is unable to answer, or if they take longer than 15 seconds, the other student wins/gets a point. If an answer is questioned, appoint a judge to make an immediate decision on whether or not an answer is valid (i.e. is Chipotle a “fast food” restaurant?)
Example: Category:
Famous Michaels
Player one rolls a “3” and player two answers:
- Michael Jackson
- Michael Phelps
- Michael Jordan
Player two rolls a “2” and player one answers:
- Michael Keaton
- Michael Bolton
Player one rolls a “1” and player two answers:
- Michael Buble
Player two rolls a “4” and player one answers:
- Michael Kors
- Michael Fox
- ….?
Player two would get a point!
