We Are Listening is proven model for hosting an honest and hopeful conversation with young adults in your community.

The goal of We Are Listening is for local church leaders and members to understand the challenges faced by young adults. There is great potential in reaching, loving, and engaging today’s young adult generation though an honest and hope-filled conversation with their young adults. A facilitator guides this young adult conversation allowing the local church to listen, learn, and leave inspired to do something. The guide includes 5 possible next-steps for your community as a result of the conversation to minister well with young adults.

We Are Listing has most often been used during a weekend church service where 8-10 young adults are on a stage sitting on chairs positioned in a half moon shape with the facilitator on a stool. Another option is to have the young adult participants sit in a circle with an audience around them in a room. The attendees are there to listen, not talk, and all conversation will happen between the young adults themselves and the facilitator.
