Whether you are looking for a last minute lesson plan or ideas to add into your teaching, Viva! is designed for youth workers leading a revolution of students living passionately for Christ in their everyday lives.
Viva! Choices focuses on four important areas where students face important choices in their lives.
Week 1: Choose Honesty
“Every day we are faced with countless decisions where we can choose to be honest or, well, less than honest. This Viva! lesson will lead us to the obvious choices (cheating, lying, etc.) but also move beyond those to examine how honestly we present ourselves to others.”
Week 2: Choose Service
“Did Jesus really mean it when he said we need to not only know who ‘the least of these’ are, but that we are to help take care of their needs? This Viva! lesson will help us take a look at the least of these around us (peers at school, the poor, the sick, etc.) and help us choose to serve them.”
Week 3: Choose Others
“Life is full of relationships: friends, family, teachers, coaches, boy/girlfriends, and more. How we treat the people we are connected to often changes from day to day or even from person to person. By looking at the life and choices of Jesus, this Viva! lesson will guide us toward a life where we put those we are in relationship with before our own selfishness.”
Week 4: Choose Forgiveness
“What does it mean to forgive? Why is forgiveness so hard to do or accept? And why does Scripture talk about it so frequently? This week we will look at choosing to forgive those who have asked to be forgiven, and at why we should choose to ask for forgiveness for those times we have caused harm to someone else.”
