Helping students’ find their calling in life should be an essential role of any healthy youth ministry, but first, we have to truly understand what the Bible even means when it talks about being called. The term is used a lot within our Christian lingo, especially from those in vocational ministry. More often than not we are using the term in the way our culture has defined the term, not the way that first-century Christians or the way the Scriptures use the term. This has caused many to lose what it means to be called by God.

In Viva! Called, your group will discuss how the term is used today and explore the Biblical roots of the word and evaluate the differences. These lessons will help individuals better understand what it means to be called by God and how to live out that calling in school, work, and beyond. Specifically, we will look at the following:
