Urban Myth or Totally Legit is a classic “This or That” game where a statement or story that is commonly accepted as fact will appear on the screen, and participants need to decide if it is actually true (Totally Legit) or not (Urban Myth ).
GAME FORMATS: This download comes with 4 different choices of media to play your rounds:
- Video Rounds with a voiceover reading the statements on the question video, and the expanded information on the answer video.
- Video Rounds with no voiceover other than when revealing if the statement is “Urban Myth” or “Totally Legit.”
- Still jpeg Images
- PowerPoint file (also still images)
Choose the format that will work best for your environment.
CROWD VOTING RESOURCES: You can always play this game in the classic way of having people move to one side of the room if they think the “fact” is an urban myth and to the other side is totally legit, but this download contains some resources Allowing you to play with some unique twists.
- Voting Cards (pdf files): This file contains a page with four “Urban Myth” images and a page with “4 Totally Legit” images. Do a two-sided print and cut so that there are enough for each student. Hand them out and have the students vote by holding up the side of the card that they believe is the answer.
- Voting Images (jpeg files): Fire each image on the screen and have students take a picture with their phone. Have them vote by holding up the image from their camera roll that they believe is the answer.
