The Original Christmas Carols is a packed four-week Christmas teaching series that will challenge students with practical application, explicit gospel presentations, biblical literacy building, apologetics, hands-on activities, and small group discussion.
Week 1: Zechariah (& Elizabeth’s) Carol
Big Idea: Zechariah’s original Christmas carol is about how God does not forget us in our suffering, doubt is normal, and God is good.
Week 2: Mary’s Carol
Big Idea: Mary’s original Christmas carol is about how God’s has a plan, He knows best, so follow Him no matter the cost.
Week 3: The Angels’ Carol
Big Idea: The angels’ original Christmas carol is about how, because we are close to God through Jesus, we should give God glory in our everyday lives.
Week 4: Simeon’s Carol
Big Idea: Simeon’s original Christmas carol reflects how God kept His promise, with Jesus fulfilling the law and offering forgiveness, so we can follow the Holy Spirit, share His message, and live purposefully as we wait expectantly for His return.
