Theological Message: This series is Jesus-centered and shows how the Tabernacle was a foreshadowing of Christ’s redemptive work on the cross. The key message is that reconciliation with God is only possible through Jesus Christ and the blood He shed for us. There are some theological issues connected to this topic, like penal substitutionary atonement, substitutionary atonement, and new covenant theology, but this study does not take sides for one specific position. When necessary, you can add or accent certain passages to conform to your theological viewpoint.

This study is aimed at high schoolers and in particular, churched high schoolers. If you wanted to use this with a mixed audience or with unchurched students, you’d have to explain more terms and concepts and take a slower approach. This study assumes at least some basic Biblical knowledge.

You could adapt the studies and messages for middle schoolers by using more concrete examples and stories and explaining more abstract terms.
