Squad Stance is an all-play game that takes all the best parts of Clumps and Poser and mashes them up together.

Details

Squad Stance is an all-play game that gets kids moving, mixing, and laughing. It takes all the best parts of Clumps and mashes them up with all the best parts of Poser.

Rules:
• A number will appear at the top of the screen. Like in Clumps, students need to get into groups (Squads) that match that number.
• Three poses will appear at the bottom of the screen. Like in Poser, students will need to work together to create one of the three poses (Stances) on the screen.
• When the countdown hits zero one of the three poses (Stances) will be highlighted.
• If your group (Squad) was doing the highlighted stance you are eliminated.
• The last group standing wins

IMPORTANT: Each Squad Size has an A, B, and C video/slide option to help you keep the game random.

Alternate Game Modes:
Score Points to Win: If your squad was performing the highlighted stance give yourself a point. Keep track of points on your hands. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins.

Fast Game: Instead of eliminating the highlighted pose, instead eliminate the two stances that weren’t highlighted. You’ll be eliminating roughly 2/3 of your teams each round instead of 1/3.

This Resource Includes:

  • 21 individual game slides (video and jpeg options)
  • Title Slide (video and jpeg options)
  • Instruction Slide (video and jpeg options)

About this Product
Play 2-3 rounds before you start eliminating people so everyone can get the hang of the game. Use the “Mix it Up” slide/video to force kids to move around and join different groups. When you get down to just a few students remaining you can flip the game around and make the highlighted pose WIN rather than LOSE. Play around with picking the same size group back-to-back, but choose a different winner. It will take the students a minute to realize that the results aren’t pre-programmed.
