This series focuses on the individual lives and circumstances of four Old Testament heroes of the faith (Deborah, Esther, Samson, and Joseph) who God often used despite their willingness, giftedness, and circumstances.

This series is great because while it has four weeks of teaching content, the order is not specifically important as each week does not build on the next one. The messages might be used once a quarter or given to leaders to teach as well. The stories are familiar, relatable, and humorous. The goal of the series is to get students interested in reading the Old Testament and to understand the importance of learning from the stories there.

While the stories are familiar to most, they get in-depth, so they should reach students at different levels of biblical knowledge. The big idea is to make the Old Testament come alive to students!
