Student leaders learn that it's not all about being first. To be like Jesus, we must go last.

Details

Sometimes people get into leadership for all the wrong reasons. They like the title, opportunities, authority, etc. These leaders may do some incredible things, but when you dig a bit deeper, you realize they are in leadership to build "personal kingdoms." This is very common in the Celebrity Pastor culture of the US. However, Jesus is clear that to be a leader is to serve, go last, and let those around you go first. Your Student Leaders need to start their leadership journey by modeling what it means to go last in the Kingdom of God.

HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE:

Option 1:  Use this in a Group Setting
Follow along in the Facilitator’s Guide and you’ll find instructions, time frames, and extra notes just for you.  The student handouts are on a separate file; be sure to make copies for each student in your group.

Option 2: Use this in a Mentoring Relationship or for an individual student.
Just make a copy of the Student Handout and give it (or send it) to the student (all the instructions they need are already there).  If you are mentoring a student, just make an extra copy of the Student Handout for yourself and walk alongside the student as he/she goes through this study.
