In Matthew 4:18–22 we see Jesus calling some of his disciples. He calls them to follow but also to fish. As Student Leaders and Christ-followers, we want to follow as Jesus leads. We understand what it means to leave our nets and boats and follow Jesus. But what about becoming fishers of men? When we struggle at "fishing," it leads to frustration. Over time, we let that frustration grow so much that we just decide we no longer want to fish. But a lack of fishing leads to a lack of following. Jesus intended the two to go together. We need to learn how to fish to follow and stay following Jesus.
