Hymnology is a four-week series that takes a deep dive into 4 hymns of the past that still have truths we should hold onto today!
This series is full of stories about the history of the hymn, the history of the author, and the specific Scriptures backing them. Students will get an appreciation of these hymns while also learning practical applications to apply to their faith!
Week 1: Doxology
Key Point: All praise and thankfulness go to God.
Key Text: Psalms 96:11-12a, 150:6
Week 2: 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
Key Point: We keep our trust in Jesus always.
Key Text: Habakkuk 3
Week 3: Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Key Point: The resurrection and ascension show the cross has the final word.
Key Text: Luke 24:35-53
Week 4: Blessed Assurance
Key Point: Our story is the assurance that Jesus is everything.
Key Text: Hebrews 10:22, Romans 8:17, Proverbs 19:23
