First Words tests your students’ knowledge of some of the most famous songs, poems, books, or speeches in recent history. You may think you know all the words to these classics, but do you know how they start? By selecting answers from a list of three options, students will identify their answers as to how each piece begins. What inevitably happens in this game is you will be amazed that students can sing or recite an entire piece of work in question! While simple, this game is an easy way to learn about what types of things your students are familiar with, as well as laugh at how we can be so familiar with something but not actually know ow it beings!
