The movie “Elf” (staring Will Ferrell) can actually teach us a lot about Christmas. Using three famous clips from the movie as starters, and other occasional creative elements, the series teaches three important lessons of Christmas:

The myths of the Christmas story
The joy of Christmas
The anticipation of Christmas.

This can be used as a series in December, or even a “Christmas in July” series in the summer. Each week contains a couple discussion questions for Small Groups.

Message 1 includes: a 2500 word-for-word teaching manuscript, and small group questions.
Message 2 includes: a 2400 word-for-word teaching manuscript, and small group questions.
Message 3 includes: a 2300 word-for-word teaching manuscript, and small group questions.
All 3 messages include the specific scenes from the movie Elf that go with each message. Also, the series has graphic and scripture slides that you can easily use for any Power-point type presentation.
