A 3-week series to get your students talking about some of the most difficult questions surrounding faith.

Details

Give your students an opportunity to engage in dialogue with their friends who are far from God by answering some of the most difficult questions nonbelievers have.

This is a great evangelism series that will give your believing students an opportunity to invest in their lost friends. It will also give you an incredible opportunity to speak to those students in your group who are struggling with elements of their faith.

Week 1: Asking for a friend … who can't believe in a God who allows bad things to happen to good people.
Scripture: John 11:1-22
How do we deal with the problem of evil? This sermon will take a look at John 11 and how Jesus waited—even after hearing his friend Lazarus was sick. It will deal with the truth that often in life, we must wait in order to see the larger picture God is creating, even though it might still be painful.

Week 2: Asking for a friend … who thinks the Bible is a book full of fables.
Scripture: Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16
This week’s message takes a dive into some of the evidence supporting the accuracy and trustworthiness of the Bible. It will highlight how the Bible is a unique collection of literature. It will also point out the bibliographical and external evidence that overwhelmingly show how the Bible is reliable.

Week 3: Asking for a friend who can't believe in a God who sends good people to hell.
Scripture: Matthew 13:49–50, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10, 1 Timothy 2:3–4, Revelation 3:20, Romans 1:20, James 4:12

In this week’s message, we deal with the idea of hell: what Scripture says about it and how it intersects with our life. In addition to that, we will show students that it is God's desire to save everyone, but it is our choice. We will then transition into challenging students to make that choice for themselves.

This Resource Includes:
• 3 teaching manuscripts
• 3 PowerPoint files
• 3 small group discussion guides
• Social media for promotion and follow up

This powerful series will attempt to answer some difficult questions and provide a conversation starter for your students to talk to their unbelieving friends.
